“Fond of” Friday Links: Websites for No-Cook Recipes

Guess what I did last night? I held and fed an orphaned baby squirrel that fell from a tall tree. Sweet was my word but for those squirrel haters, eww would be the word. This little guy was soft, eyes still closed, and very hungry. He lost his mother in the storm last week. No sign of the 5 other babies. I hope he pulls through. Our pal Bill and his family are caring for him.

While visiting, to obtain his abundant garden veggies, this little guy appeared in the driveway. I wish I had a picture!

Needless to say, our fridge is full and spilling into the dining room. The freezer is also full. Big thanks to Bill for the smoked chicken, other chicken, pork burgers, tilapia, eggs, cabbage, tomatoes, broccoli, zucchini, cucumber, peppers and on and on. I’m happily overwhelmed. What could I possibly do to pay him back? I’ve made a few things for their family-muffins, bars and spicy pickled veggies but it isn’t enough.

For today’s “fond of” Friday I want to point out some resources, during this hot summer, for no-cook recipes. I’ve provided a few: cool cucumber salad, 3-bean salad and gazpacho soup.

Not a link to no-cook recipes but I have to give some love to the heavy table. I owe them a big thanks for the support. I love this site-take a look around!
