I lost my grandpa 16 years ago to cancer as well. I have many memories of him, so tall! (around 6 feet), especially when I was very young. However one of my most comforting "memories" is a dream I had within a day or so of his death. He came and said goodbye to me (I was in IA & he was in TX). I firmly believe it was more than just a dream. And the new little love of your life - how precious! It's good to have a furry bundle of unconditional love around. I have such terrifically happy memories of all my grandparents. My grandpa clay had cancer...it was hard on everyone, especially grandma so know how worried you must be. There is so much more hope though and help than 45 years ago, so i'll send positive thoughts and prayers your way. Sweet puppy! We got a samoyed puppy when our kiddos were little and he turned into a huge doggy but so much fun. A majorly loving dog but also a super protector of our children!
